THE GOLDEN VINES® EXPERIENCE
DUBAI, UAE: NOVEMBER 2024
In partnership with Jumeirah & Liber Pater
On the 27th of November, Michael Grieve, Global CMO of Jumeirah Group, hosted an intimate dinner featuring Liber Pater at One, Jumeirah's premier property in Dubai, Hotel Al Naseem. A select group of ten guests had the rare opportunity to explore the world of Loïc Pasquet’s exceptional wines, paired with a four-course menu curated by Clément Robert, Master Sommelier and Wine Director of The Golden Vines.
The wine selection began with Tetradrachme 2021, the latest addition to Loïc’s micro-production portfolio. This white wine, made from the nearly extinct Potamissi grape, was grown ungrafted on volcanic soil on the Greek island of Naxos.
Next, guests enjoyed Denarius, a wine from Graves, considered the second wine of Liber Pater, sourced from a parcel near the Liber Pater vineyard.
The evening culminated with two vintages of Liber Pater, also known as Le Grand Vin from Loïc’s collection: the 2007 vintage and the rare 2018 vintage, with only 500 bottles produced. This exceptional wine is crafted from forgotten Bordeaux varietals such as Castet, Pardotte, Tarnay, Petite Vidure, Mancin, Camaralet, and Saint-Macaire, and is made from Franc de Pied (ungrafted) vines.
